Commercial Leasing
Our real estate practice group represents numerous institutional and publicly-traded landlords, REITS, asset managers and privately-held concerns in connection with their leasing of major commercial real estate properties nationwide, including office buildings, shopping centers, retail stores and industrial properties. On the tenant side, this practice group represents a select group of large national and multinational corporations in leasing matters for their corporate facilities throughout the United States. We also represent small and mid-size concerns as tenants, in connection with their leasing and occupancy of retail, office and industrial premises.
The attorneys in this practice group are well versed in the preparation and negotiation of both conventional and complex office, retail and industrial leases, ground leases, net leases, assignments, subleases, licenses, lease restructurings, workouts, take-over agreements, management/leasing agency agreements and brokerage agreements.
Our leasing attorneys have a competitive edge in that the Firm is structured to permit and encourage them to work closely with their colleagues in our litigation department who specialize in commercial landlord/tenant disputes. This empowers our leasing attorneys with a knowledge and perspective as to the enforcement and practical application of these various agreements well beyond that which is typical of attorneys in this practice area.
